Disgraceful behavior of steroid users during driving

However it is not yet proven scientifically whether uncontrolled aggressiveness is a negative response of steroids, these drugs are blamed for some criminal actions quite often.
Michael Barton, a man from Britain, hit a Ford Fiesta, while he was driving his Volkswagen Golf. The driver of Ford Fiesta was Paul Gard. Barton had passed Paul Gard. But then Michael Barton had to pull back in front of Paul Gard, since another car was driving the other way. Paul Gard flashed him. Thus, he had to brake suddenly. Barton became furious, stopped his Volkswagen Golf, broke the wing mirror of Paul Gard’s vehicle and hit Gard in the face. Then Gard’s wife called police. While she was calling, Barton left calmly.
Michael Barton, a 21-year-old person who has a son of two years old, takes steroids for bulking effects. So, it has been claimed that these preparations affected his behavior. The defense attorney for this young person affirmed that steroids influenced on temperament of his client, since these medicines enhanced his testosterone levels.
Earlier Michael Barton was convicted for some crimes, including domestic violence. Last year this young man pleaded guilty to an assault, criminal damage and driving incautiously due to his anger following assaults.
Patrick Hooton, the judge, claimed that he was not sure that steroids were responsible for his improper behavior. But he noticed that it was totally mad to get angry and hit a person in the face just because he flashed him. The judge noticed that Barton’s behavior was too disgraceful and he said: “you ought to go to prison”.
Thus, this young man was given 6-month jail sentence suspended for a year; he was also enforced to pay 500 dollars in compensation and ?277 for damage of Paul Gard’s car.

Amino acids marketed as doping drugs were sent to Wim Vansevenant by Australian company

The case related to the former Belgian rider Wim Vansevenant altered significantly. An analysis displayed that the doping medicines that were ordered by him didn’t contain the contents enumerated on the labels. This person was cheated by the company where he ordered the products.
Last year certain packages sent to this former professional rider by an Australian company were intercepted by customs officials. It was written on the intercepted bottles that they contained the doping medicine TB-500. It is a peptide hormone which has ability to enhance muscle power and promote healing. The Belgian authorities started an investigation. It was thought that Wim Vansevenant supplied the Omega Pharma-Lotto team with doping drugs. This athlete rode professionally 10 years, from 1998 to 2008. Last 6 years of his riding career he was with this team.
An analysis of the bottles seized by customs manifested that only amino acids were contained. Wim Vansevenant’s attorney confirmed that the accusations had to be dropped. He explained that since the medicine was not linked with doping, the former rider didn’t deserve to be punished.
Johan Lescrauwaet, the prosecutor’s spokesperson confirmed that the contents didn’t correspond to the name of the product that was written on the label and to the affirmations of the former sportsperson.
Just amino acids were found in the bottles. No any doping product. So, there is no any evidence that Wim Vansevenant provided doping drugs to other individuals.
The hearing of Wim Vansevenant was scheduled to be later.

How can physical appearance of Roger Clemens support that he hasn’t used steroids?

It is known by each baseball fan that Roger Clemens is charged with obstruction of justice. It is claimed that he has lied before Congress about administration of steroids and HGH.
Rusty Hardin pointed out that there was no any difference in physical appearance of Roger Clemens before, during and after his working with the trainer Brian McNamee. The attorney confirmed that this aspect was a proof that Roger Clemens hadn’t applied steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs.
Increase of muscle mass is usually utilized by federal prosecutors as proof that an athlete uses steroids or/and other related medicines. But this tendency was not used during the case against Roger Clemens. Nobody could claim that muscles of Roger Clemens demonstrated that he had applied steroids and HGH. It is one of differences between the case against Roger Clemens and that against Barry Bonds.
When it comes to the governmental case against Barry Bonds, prosecutors called many individuals in the trial that were able to testify that anabolic steroids promoted substantial changes in physique of this person. They claimed that intake of steroids led to increase of muscle size, enhanced size of the head and testicular shrinkage in Barry Bonds.
Thus, the defense attorney Rusty Hardin presented four photos of Roger Clemens. The pictures displayed physique of Roger Clemens, including the time when Clemens was working with Brian McNamee. Hardin noted that the pictures manifested that there was no difference in physical changes that could support that he took steroids and HGH.
The attorney Rusty Hardin claimed that the photos displayed just the process of ageing. The masseur Cheryl Redfern also claimed that she didn’t observe any changes in physique of Roger Clemens. Roger Clemens experienced neither back acne, nor abnormal development of breast tissue, nor dramatically enhanced muscles.
Phil Garner a former Major League Baseball player also confirmed that there were not any obvious changes in physical appearance and performance of Roger Clemens during working with Brian McNamee.
The Assistant US Attorney Steve Durham tried to discredit the affirmation about lack of changes in Roger Clemens’ physical appearance during the cross-examination of the former baseball player Phil Garner. He noted that while certain steroids enhanced muscle mass, others didn’t induce enhancing muscles. Thus, he confirmed that the pictures could display nothing about steroid use.
Federal prosecutors desire to take advantages in both cases: in the case against Roger Clemens and in that against Barry Bonds. While they affirm that changes in physical appearance of Barry Bonds manifest that he has applied steroids, lack of changes in physical appearance of Roger Clemens doesn’t prove that he hasn’t administered steroids.

Detective Nick Bingham: motorcycle gangs don’t possess large quantities of steroids

Federal prosecutors want the judge Reggie Walton to permit the former Major League Baseball player David Segui to present testimony in the trial linked with the case of Roger Clemens. This player had a conversation with Brian McNamee, the former trainer of Roger Clemens. It is claimed that they have discussed about usage of steroids by the former well-known baseball player.
The former personal trainer of Roger Clemens was called to testify against his client because he turned out to be the only person that had direct knowledge about usage of steroids and other related medicines by Roger Clemens. Furthermore, Brian McNamee saved injection equipment: vials, syringes and needles that were allegedly mixed with Roger Clemens’ blood. DNA analysis was made in order to define whether the blood belonged really to Clemens.
Rusty Hardin, a defense attorney for Roger Clemens, said that the steroid evidence was made by Brian McNamee after the interpellation by federal prosecutors.
But prosecutors claimed that David Segui told them that Brian McNamee said that he saved several things as evidence of steroid use by some players in 2001. It was certain years before the former trainer of Roger Clemens became the target of the investigation.
Information provided by Segui to federal prosecutors differed significantly from that provided to the sportswriter Jim Baumbach. His words provided to the sportswriter were published in an article in 2008. According to that article, David Segui claimed that he had never spoken about steroids with his friend Brian McNamee.
Segui found out about implication of Brian McNamee into the trial of Roger Clemens only in 2006, when he read an article in the Los Angeles Times.
Segui was quite open in his discussions about personal usage of steroids and other related drugs. He said that players of the Major League Baseball asked him many times whether he had used steroids. The former Major League Baseball first baseman admitted that he had administered them. But Segui claimed that he had never spoken about intake of steroids with Brian McNamee.
Segui supported McNamee’s decision to save evidence about intake of forbidden preparations by his clients. According to the former first baseman of the Major League Baseball, it is a proper decision because sometimes innocent guys are blamed but guilty persons are covered. So, Brian McNamee could help to reveal the truth.
Although federal prosecutors asked the judge Walton to permit Segui to provide testimony in the trial linked with Roger Clemens, the judge didn’t announce his decision yet.

Galabin Boevski is a well-known sportsman in Bulgaria. He is considered to be one of the most well-known weightlifters in this country.
First he was caught using steroids in 1995. Of course, he was sentenced to suspension.
Then this weightlifter was caught taking prohibited products in 2004. It was the second time when he broke doping laws. In fact, Boevski didn’t test positive for any banned products. But anti-doping officials defined that he didn’t provide own urine. The urine that was provided by this sportsperson belonged to another individual. As a result, Boevski was sentenced to 8-year suspension. During serving the suspension he was caught smuggling cocaine.
Galabin Boevski became famous due to his achievements in weightlifting. This athlete won gold medals at several competitions: at the 1999 World Weightlifting Championships in Athens, the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney and the 2001 World Weightlifting Championships in Antalya.
At the 2003 World Championships in Vancouver this weightlifter and his teammates from Bulgaria provided urine samples that belonged to another person. Boevski appealed the suspension but it was not successful.
Boevski broke certain world records at various competitions. He held 3 world records. The best lifts of this person were following: a 162, 5 kg snatch, 196, 5 kg clean and jerk and a 357, 5 kg of two lifts at the 1999 Championships.

Moreover, Maria Isabel do Prado, the Brazilian judge, confirmed that Galabin Boevski applied also his status of celebrity in sports in order to traffic cocaine. Misleading information: steroids ordered per internet result in death

Georgina Howarth, a pathologist, affirmed that the death of Mohammed Belkhair, a 19-year teenager, had been caused by usage of anabolic steroids. She noticed that anabolic steroids had caused heart failure that had resulted in the death.
According to the pathologist Howarth, if this guy had not taken steroids, he would have lived today. She affirmed that usage of steroids was the only cause of the death. Georgina Howarth noted that the death of this guy was a lesson for each person to stay far from such drugs.
Mohammed Belkhair’s sister found him vomiting in his bedroom on May, 2011. The boy admitted that he had administered steroids. The death occurred at the same day. It was reported that steroids had been found in his system.
According to many articles, DHEA and Tamoxifen were two steroids that were found in the system of the teenager. DHEA is sold overall in Britain and in the USA.
But actually, the news is misleading. Tamoxifen doesn’t belong to anabolic steroids. This preparation has been originally elaborated in order to treat persons who have breast cancer. It has become widespread among sportspeople and bodybuilders that utilize steroids due to its capacity to prevent aromatization of other products.
It seems to be strange but nothing was mentioned about arrest of Mohammed Belkhair. This factor might contribute in the death. This boy was arrested on the night before his death by police officers. 4 various anabolic steroids were found in the room of this person. But the names of the steroids were not mentioned.
Although the police encounter and arrest occurred certain hours before the death of this boy, the doctor Georgina Howarth didn’t investigate these conditions. Furthermore, she didn’t present any explanation about this aspect. Police officials released nothing too.
Since it was reported that Mohammed Belkhair had ordered steroids via internet, the news connected with dangers of getting steroids via internet were spread in the country. Thus, it turned out to be convenient for altering the laws in order to make purchases of steroids online criminal in Britain. The British government intends to make personal import of steroids per mail and per internet criminal. It will be in near future. Although it is said that these laws will be enacted before the 2012 Olympics, they are not still enacted.

However the UFC tries to prove that they do more than other sports organizations for pushing doping out of sports, reality displays contrary things

The UFC President Dana White tries to defend UFC efforts against administration of prohibited products.  Dana White affirms that the UFC fights seriously to push prohibited medications out of sports. He confirms that they do more than any other sport organization for this purpose.
Unfortunately, affirmations of the UFC President are claimed only for public relations purposes. They are completely false. The UFC doesn’t do more than any other sport organization, fighting against administration of prohibited preparations.
The UFC President confirms that it is impossible to perform random drug testing in the UFC. This person notices that they have 375 fighters under contract. Dana White says that it is impossible to perform random tests because these fighters live everywhere; they travel around the world. He finds it unreal to travel in different countries, looking for these 375 persons, in order to test them continually.
While The UFC President desires to convince others that it is not possible to test randomly 375 UFC guys, other sport organizations do it with their sportspersons. They perform random testing with success.
It isn’t wholly clear what happens really. Does Dana White want to mislead public about usage of banned products by the UFC sportspersons? Or is he ignorant entirely, when it comes to the laws of the World Anti-Doping Agency?
The CEO of the US Anti-Doping Agency suggests that the UFC does everything in order to avoid following the code of the WADA. They have own laws and fight against the WADA rules. However the UFC claims that they try to protect their sports from administration of doping products by the WADA rules, the reality demonstrates that it is not true. The UFC rules are miserable in comparison with those of the WADA. Try to see it!

Although Dr. Beltran had no any direct contact with top sportspersons since 2009, he supplied them with controlled substances and taught them how to avoid detection

A steroid investigation by Mossos d’Esqudra and Spain’s Policia Nacional led to arrest of 10 persons that were implicated in a steroid chain. These individuals provided top amateur and professional sportspersons and even Olympic athletes with anabolic steroids, HGH, EPO, CERA and other related products.  The operation was called “Operacion Skype”. The steroid ring was located in Barcelona.
The investigation was initially linked with the professional cyclist David Garcia Dapena who tested positive for EPO after the 2010 Vuelta a Espana. It was confirmed that the cyclist had enhanced hematocrit levels that indicated about application of EPO.
Garcia didn’t deny usage of the prohibited product. He collaborated with the police officers. The cyclist admitted that he had bought product with performance-enhancing effects from the health care provider Alberto Beltran Nino.
It was determined that Beltran had been the leader of an organization focused on sophisticated doping. This organization supplied cyclists and other sportspersons with banned preparations. It was also determined that certain athletes that participated in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the 2010 Vuelta a Espana, the 2009 Tour du Portugal and the 2012 Spanish Athletics Championships were included in the group of persons who got steroids and other forbidden medications from this doping organization.
It was even earlier supposed that Beltran supplied sportspersons with steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs and taught them how to avoid being caught. This doctor was arrested in Italy after he was caught driving his car which contained steroids and other related products.
Nuno Ribeiro, a Portuguese professional cyclist, accused the physician Beltran in injecting him with forbidden products after he tested positive for CERA in 2009.
The sprinter Jose Luis Blanco assisted in the steroid investigation that had been led against Beltran after this runner tested positive for EPO at the 2012 Spanish Athletics Championships.
Beltran moved to Bahrain in 2009. Since that time the doctor had no any direct contact with any sportsperson.
Nevertheless, the police suppose that he has set up a team of intermediaries in different countries. They have bought steroids and other related drugs and supplied top athletes with them.
Beltran was detained in Madrid in March 2012 by police officials. He was caught having AICAR and TB-500.
However no any sportsperson has tested positive for these products, it is suspected that several athletes have intended to utilize these drugs.

Young sportspersons use steroids because they are taught they should win at any cost

Brian McNamee claims that trainers are the main persons that induce usage of anabolic steroids. The convicted distributor of steroids notices that coaches have the most significant influence on decisions of young sportspersons to apply prohibited drugs. Their influence is bigger than one of street dealers who offer prohibited substances for sales, trying to convince young persons that they may have great success due to application of these medicines. Brian McNamee suggests that coaches and the society teach young sportspersons that they should win at any cost. This aspect pressures students that are involved in sports. It promotes causing their decision to take steroids and other related preparations.
Brian McNamee was invited to share his point of view at the Nassau Counselors Association’s conference. He pronounced some thoughts  during a presentation that was called “Creating a Safe Environment for Our Student-Athletes”. He received an honorarium of 200 dollars. McNamee donated this sum of money to the Taylor Hooton Foundation.
McNamee is known better as a trainer who has injected Roger Clemens with anabolic steroids and HGH. It was claimed that he stored all syringes and vials which were used for injecting Roger Clemens with steroids during about seven years. Brian McNamee supported accusations of federal prosecutors against Clemens.
The testimony of McNamee induced publication of the Mitchell Report on steroids in the Major League Baseball. The Report was worth of 20 million dollars. It was publicized in December 2007. Testimonies of Brian McNamee and Kirk Radomski represented the base for publishing the report. They provided evidence linked with usage of steroids in professional baseball. These persons were enforced to collaborate with investigators of the Mitchell Report. It was their agreement which was reached because of charges connected with steroids.
The agreement also suggests that McNamee will testify as a government witness in the trial of Roger Clemens. He couldn’t say details linked with the case of Roger Clemens during the Nassau Counselors Association. But the time will come, when he tells the story related to Clemens.
Although it was declared a mistrial in the first trial connected with the case of Roger Clemens, it was scheduled another trial.

The most unloved sportspersons of Seattle

A list of the most despised sportspersons of Seattle was composed by the Seattle post-intelligencer newspaper. Knowing about attitude to steroid use, it is astonishingly that only 2 consumers of steroids  made the list. Administration of steroids by these two persons was not the reason to include them in the list of the most despised sportspersons of Seattle. Nonetheless, it must have influenced.
These two persons from the list were “The Boz” Bosworth and Alex “A-Rod” Rodriquez.
It became clear that Bosworth was a consumer of steroids after Nandrolone metabolites had been found in his urine sample in 1986. He was one of the other 20 football players that were caught using banned medications in 1986. It led to Bosworth’s ban to play for Oklahoma Sooners in 1987.
Bosworth noted that he had applied Deca Durabolin that had been prescribed by his doctor for recovery from an injury. This sportsperson confirmed that it was the first time that he administered steroids.
Brian Bosworth obtained the 1985 and 1986 Butkus Award.
Brian Bosworth came in connection with Seattle, when he obtained the Seahawks a 10-year contract. But his career was ended because of an injury. He retired from professional football in 1989 after he had played 24 games for this team. His case was considered to be one of the most essential busts in NFL history.
Another person that was named in the list of the most scorned Seattle’s sportspersons was Alex Rodriquez. He got the nickname “A-Rod”. The nickname was given by a Seattle Mariners’ player. Alex Rodriquez had a significant success in Seattle. This baseball player came to the Seattle Mariners right after High School at the age of 17. Everyone was surprised by his skills. He played for the Calgary Cannons and the Tacoma Rainiers. He continued to succeed but he left Seattle due to desire to get more money. It made him the most unloved Seattle’s sportsperson. Alex Rodriquez signed a contract with the Texas Rangers in 2000. It was the most moneymaking contract that had ever been got in sports history.
The news which was reported in February 2009 shocked everybody.  It was noted that Alex Rodriquez tested positive for the anabolic steroids Testosterone and Primobolan during a testing in the MLB.
The writer Roberts noted in her book about Alex Rodriquez that he had used steroids in high school to bulk up.
Alex Rodriquez admitted that he had utilized anabolic steroids but he noted that he had taken them only from 2001 to 2003.
Actually, there were certain other reasons that resulted in the fact that Alex Rodriquez and Brian Bosworth were included in the list of the most scorned athletes of Seattle. But their links with steroids gave possibility to blame these sportspersons again.

When can Kathy Jager begin to compete again?

Kathy Jager, a celebrated sportswoman, tested positive for anabolic steroids at the 2011 USA National Masters Outdoor Track And Field Championships in Berea. That’s why this sportswoman was banned from participation in competitions. She can’t compete till the age of 70. This is the decision of the United States Anti-Doping Agency.
This athlete used steroids because these products were recommended by the healthcare provider to stabilize her hormone balance. According to the rules of World Anti-Doping Agency, sportspersons may use steroids for medical purposes and participate in competitions, if they have a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE). But Kathy Jager didn’t receive a TUE which could give her the authorization to administrate these medications without being forbidden from competitions.
It is necessary to notice that Kathy Jager doesn’t treat intake of anabolic steroids seriously.
She tested positive for methyltestosterone at the 1999 World Association of Veteran Athletes World Championships in Gateshead (Great Britain) after she had broken world records in running of 100 meters. That competition was between athletes that were from the age of 55 till 59. It was the first time she was banned for application of these medications. Now it was her second time.
As it is known, this sportswoman took EstraTest HS which contained esterified estrogens and methyltestosterone in a tablet.
She confirmed that she had utilized EstraTest for medical purposes. But the World Masters Association didn’t believe and banned her from competitions.
The case related to Kathy Jager led to a lot of debates. Some people condemned her for application of prohibited drugs, others defended her.
When this woman was banned the first time, she administrated steroids in order to avoid menopausal troubles. The drugs were prescribed by her doctor. Then she ceased using recommended medications and began to take herbal preparations.
So, Kathy Jager must not take part in competitions till the age of 70 years old. If she had had a TUE, she could compete. But nobody is sure whether the WADA will give her a TUE or not.
