Players of the NFL will perform blood tests for HGH

Players of the NFL mistrust methods utilized by the WADA. Why did the distrust appear? Let try to find out the reason.
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) made a decision to test players of the National Football League for HGH. However the NFL Players’ Association has agreed, some skeptic words linked with the level of trustworthiness of blood test for HGH were expressed. This test is going to be just a part of the testing for anabolic steroids and other performance-enhancing substances.
Several specialists who are not related to the WADA activity directly are skeptic to the methods utilized by this agency. They justify the skepticism of the NFL players.
Matt Chaney, a main chronicler of intake of steroids in American football, confirms that the NFL players distrust the WADA anti-doping tests not without any reason. Skeptic attitude of the players is justified by Matt Chaney.
Don Catlin, the director of Anti-Doping Research, points out that methods of the WADA for detection of HGH must be transparent. The WADA uses the HGH isoform ratio test elaborated by Christian Strasburger.
It is necessary to mention that according to several specialists, the method of this test is not proved scientifically. It is not trustworthy. Catlin points out that this test is not good for detection of HGH at all.
There is another test which may be used by the WADA to catch sportspersons that administrate HGH. Sonksen elaborated a certain HGH testing method which is based on physiological biomarkers. But the WADA doesn’t applies the method of Sonksen to determine consumers of HGH.
According to Sonksen, workers of the WADA are not specialists in this area. That’s why they do not see the priority of one method over the other. But as it was proved scientifically, the HGH biomarker test is better than HGH isoform test.
Although experts confirm about difference between these two tests, the WADA doesn’t intend to to utilize the HGH biomarker test.
