Disgraceful behavior of steroid users during driving

However it is not yet proven scientifically whether uncontrolled aggressiveness is a negative response of steroids, these drugs are blamed for some criminal actions quite often.
Michael Barton, a man from Britain, hit a Ford Fiesta, while he was driving his Volkswagen Golf. The driver of Ford Fiesta was Paul Gard. Barton had passed Paul Gard. But then Michael Barton had to pull back in front of Paul Gard, since another car was driving the other way. Paul Gard flashed him. Thus, he had to brake suddenly. Barton became furious, stopped his Volkswagen Golf, broke the wing mirror of Paul Gard’s vehicle and hit Gard in the face. Then Gard’s wife called police. While she was calling, Barton left calmly.
Michael Barton, a 21-year-old person who has a son of two years old, takes steroids for bulking effects. So, it has been claimed that these preparations affected his behavior. The defense attorney for this young person affirmed that steroids influenced on temperament of his client, since these medicines enhanced his testosterone levels.
Earlier Michael Barton was convicted for some crimes, including domestic violence. Last year this young man pleaded guilty to an assault, criminal damage and driving incautiously due to his anger following assaults.
Patrick Hooton, the judge, claimed that he was not sure that steroids were responsible for his improper behavior. But he noticed that it was totally mad to get angry and hit a person in the face just because he flashed him. The judge noticed that Barton’s behavior was too disgraceful and he said: “you ought to go to prison”.
Thus, this young man was given 6-month jail sentence suspended for a year; he was also enforced to pay 500 dollars in compensation and ?277 for damage of Paul Gard’s car.

Green tea helps to avoid detection of testosterone use

Athletes become more and more sophisticated in steroid use. They find new methods to hide their administration of prohibited medications. Several athletes take time to study researchers’ statements which may help them to hide that they dope. Today a way has been found: athletes can mask usage of testosterone with the help of green tea.
Testosterone is a hormone which is produced in body naturally. So, it can be difficult for anti-doping agencies to determine that a sportsperson has administered testosterone. T: E ratio testing is commonly used by anti-doping organizations. Such tests can show uncommon ratio of testosterone to epitestosterone in urine. But it is not capable to show difference between testosterone that has been secreted in body naturally and that introduced into body with the help of injections, gels, etc.
Declan Naughton and his colleagues at Kingston University ( London) have found that green tea contains such substances that are called “catechins”. They have ability to inhibit the enzyme UGT2B17. This enzyme induces joining glucuronic acid to testosterone. In case UGT2B17 is inhibited, less testosterone glucoronide is excreted in urine.
Catechins, the compounds which have ability to mask intake of testosterone, are contained in green and white tea. Black tea doesn’t have such substances.
Naughton and his colleagues have conducted several experiments. They claim that a cup of strong green tea mask intake of testosterone.
Thus, those athletes who apply testosterone may lower measures of testosterone which are excreted in urine by drinking of green or white tea. Green or white tea has capacity to block excretion of testosterone, increasing circulating levels of this hormone.
The World Anti-Doping Agency was informed about the discovering by the experts. If this process occurs, it is not worthy to test urine. Blood tests should be performed in order to determine that a person has used testosterone.
Olivier Rabin, the WADA’s scientist, claims that regular checks of blood steroids will be added. Everything will be done by anti-doping agencies in order to prevent fooling of urine tests.

Amino acids marketed as doping drugs were sent to Wim Vansevenant by Australian company

The case related to the former Belgian rider Wim Vansevenant altered significantly. An analysis displayed that the doping medicines that were ordered by him didn’t contain the contents enumerated on the labels. This person was cheated by the company where he ordered the products.
Last year certain packages sent to this former professional rider by an Australian company were intercepted by customs officials. It was written on the intercepted bottles that they contained the doping medicine TB-500. It is a peptide hormone which has ability to enhance muscle power and promote healing. The Belgian authorities started an investigation. It was thought that Wim Vansevenant supplied the Omega Pharma-Lotto team with doping drugs. This athlete rode professionally 10 years, from 1998 to 2008. Last 6 years of his riding career he was with this team.
An analysis of the bottles seized by customs manifested that only amino acids were contained. Wim Vansevenant’s attorney confirmed that the accusations had to be dropped. He explained that since the medicine was not linked with doping, the former rider didn’t deserve to be punished.
Johan Lescrauwaet, the prosecutor’s spokesperson confirmed that the contents didn’t correspond to the name of the product that was written on the label and to the affirmations of the former sportsperson.
Just amino acids were found in the bottles. No any doping product. So, there is no any evidence that Wim Vansevenant provided doping drugs to other individuals.
The hearing of Wim Vansevenant was scheduled to be later.

Toxicologist Bruce Goldberger: beer can is not proof

Testimonies of the prominent toxicologist Bruce Goldberger will probably impact essentially on decision of the court in the case related to Roger Clemens. Bruce Goldberger is the Professor of Pathology and Director of Toxicology at the University of Florida College of Medicine. This specialist didn’t testify on behalf of the government. Although he was invited in order to replace Don Catlin, the director of the WADA UCLA Medicine, Goldberger’s testimonies didn’t correspond to those which are usually presented by anti-doping agencies. He testified on behalf of the accused sportsperson.
Bruce Goldberger is known due to his participation in various news programs. Even during such programs he doesn’t abstain from criticism. Bruce Goldberger criticized several anti-doping organizations, including the WADA.
The toxicologist expressed critical words for federal prosecutors in the case linked with Roger Clemens. They based on “beer can evidence” provided by Brian McNamee to support that Roger Clemens applied steroids and HGH. Brian McNamee, the former personal coach of Roger Clemens, provided a beer can with utilized needles and syringes that had traces of such steroids, as Sustanon, Primobolan Depot and Deca Durabolin and were mixed allegedly with blood of Roger Clemens. McNamee was keeping the beer can over 6 years. The toxicologist noted that such basis wasn’t reasonable.
Goldberger claimed that it was impossible to base on “beer can evidence”. He noticed that the accusation couldn’t be proven because the theory of contamination could present.
Thus, Bruce Goldberger didn’t support the affirmations of the feds. Earlier he also expressed criticism connected with evidence utilized by some anti-doping organizations.
Certain years ago the toxicologist Bruce Goldberger testified on behalf of Floyd Landis, an American celebrated cyclist, when this sportsperson appealed positives for steroids. A WADA-accredited lab located in France discovered traces of exogenous testosterone; T: E ratio and carbon isotope ratio tests were used by the lab. Goldberger expressed similar words and criticism during the appeal related to Floyd Landis.
Bruce Goldberger noted during an interview that the WADA used inadequate ways and violated rights of sportspeople in order to achieve the success in anti-doping programs.
As for Floyd Landis, he didn’t have success in his appeal and admitted that he had applied steroids, EPO and certain other related preparations.
No one can be sure which results will be reached by Roger Clemens. Will the government prove that he has lied before the Congress? Will he admit to administering forbidden products? Or will be the results opposite?

How can physical appearance of Roger Clemens support that he hasn’t used steroids?

It is known by each baseball fan that Roger Clemens is charged with obstruction of justice. It is claimed that he has lied before Congress about administration of steroids and HGH.
Rusty Hardin pointed out that there was no any difference in physical appearance of Roger Clemens before, during and after his working with the trainer Brian McNamee. The attorney confirmed that this aspect was a proof that Roger Clemens hadn’t applied steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs.
Increase of muscle mass is usually utilized by federal prosecutors as proof that an athlete uses steroids or/and other related medicines. But this tendency was not used during the case against Roger Clemens. Nobody could claim that muscles of Roger Clemens demonstrated that he had applied steroids and HGH. It is one of differences between the case against Roger Clemens and that against Barry Bonds.
When it comes to the governmental case against Barry Bonds, prosecutors called many individuals in the trial that were able to testify that anabolic steroids promoted substantial changes in physique of this person. They claimed that intake of steroids led to increase of muscle size, enhanced size of the head and testicular shrinkage in Barry Bonds.
Thus, the defense attorney Rusty Hardin presented four photos of Roger Clemens. The pictures displayed physique of Roger Clemens, including the time when Clemens was working with Brian McNamee. Hardin noted that the pictures manifested that there was no difference in physical changes that could support that he took steroids and HGH.
The attorney Rusty Hardin claimed that the photos displayed just the process of ageing. The masseur Cheryl Redfern also claimed that she didn’t observe any changes in physique of Roger Clemens. Roger Clemens experienced neither back acne, nor abnormal development of breast tissue, nor dramatically enhanced muscles.
Phil Garner a former Major League Baseball player also confirmed that there were not any obvious changes in physical appearance and performance of Roger Clemens during working with Brian McNamee.
The Assistant US Attorney Steve Durham tried to discredit the affirmation about lack of changes in Roger Clemens’ physical appearance during the cross-examination of the former baseball player Phil Garner. He noted that while certain steroids enhanced muscle mass, others didn’t induce enhancing muscles. Thus, he confirmed that the pictures could display nothing about steroid use.
Federal prosecutors desire to take advantages in both cases: in the case against Roger Clemens and in that against Barry Bonds. While they affirm that changes in physical appearance of Barry Bonds manifest that he has applied steroids, lack of changes in physical appearance of Roger Clemens doesn’t prove that he hasn’t administered steroids.

Steroid user is charged with massacre

Anders Behring Breivik was charged with murder of 70 persons. He bombed buildings of government in Oslo (Norway). Teenagers of the Workers’ Youth League camp were also murdered by him on Utoya island in July 2011.
The killer trained for the crimes significantly. He said that he had applied steroid cycles.  Since he used steroids, these medicines were demonized for the crimes by numerous journalists.
But what did specialists consider? Joerge Moerland, a professor of forensic toxicology at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, contested statements of these journalists. Dr. Joerge Moerland noted that anabolic steroids should not be demonized for the crimes. But the expert admitted that it was impossible to contest that these products could lead to aggressiveness in the killer.
An “ECA stack”, a combination of caffeine, aspirin and ephedrine, was also applied by the murderer. In fact, this stack is normally applied by bodybuilders for fat burning and pre-workout stimulation. It was set that Anders Breivik has utilized great amount of the combination. The amount applied by him was by 50 % greater than it is permitted under rules of European Union.
The forensic toxicologist Joerge Moerland affirmed that Breivik’s behavior was more significantly affected by the ECA than steroids. He explained that ephedrine might lead to desire to be implicated in dangerous activities. Moerland confirmed that Breivik’s central nervous system had been affected by ephedrine.
Nevertheless, the expert Joerge Moerland mentioned about limitation of the ECA’ influence. The amount of caffeine consumed by the killer was equal to circa 5 cups of coffee. Thus, the quantity was not enough enhanced in order to be blamed for the massacre.
Anders Breivik described his administration of steroids and dietary supplements in details. He also recommended other individuals ordering steroids at Alinshop.
Anders Breivik noted that he didn’t like Dianabol because it could lead to water retention. He noticed that Dianabol could add more body weight than users could carry. According to his statements, about 50 % of the gained mass due to this medication is liquid retention. The murderer decided to apply some stacks that were proper for his purposes.
The killer learnt about effects of different steroids in order to choose those who were proper for his needs. He confirmed that Testosterone Propionate had certain priorities over Dianabol. He also supposed that stacks of Dianabol with Aromasin or application of Dianabol followed by administration of Winstrol could benefit essentially.
So, the murderer prepared for the massacre scrupulously. He spent time in order to choose and plan steroid cycles and intake of dietary supplements. He also thought over each aspect linked with attacks and murders.
Although some persons believed that Breivik was legally insane, it’s wrong. It is obvious that the crimes have been committed consciously.

Detective Nick Bingham: motorcycle gangs don’t possess large quantities of steroids

Federal prosecutors want the judge Reggie Walton to permit the former Major League Baseball player David Segui to present testimony in the trial linked with the case of Roger Clemens. This player had a conversation with Brian McNamee, the former trainer of Roger Clemens. It is claimed that they have discussed about usage of steroids by the former well-known baseball player.
The former personal trainer of Roger Clemens was called to testify against his client because he turned out to be the only person that had direct knowledge about usage of steroids and other related medicines by Roger Clemens. Furthermore, Brian McNamee saved injection equipment: vials, syringes and needles that were allegedly mixed with Roger Clemens’ blood. DNA analysis was made in order to define whether the blood belonged really to Clemens.
Rusty Hardin, a defense attorney for Roger Clemens, said that the steroid evidence was made by Brian McNamee after the interpellation by federal prosecutors.
But prosecutors claimed that David Segui told them that Brian McNamee said that he saved several things as evidence of steroid use by some players in 2001. It was certain years before the former trainer of Roger Clemens became the target of the investigation.
Information provided by Segui to federal prosecutors differed significantly from that provided to the sportswriter Jim Baumbach. His words provided to the sportswriter were published in an article in 2008. According to that article, David Segui claimed that he had never spoken about steroids with his friend Brian McNamee.
Segui found out about implication of Brian McNamee into the trial of Roger Clemens only in 2006, when he read an article in the Los Angeles Times.
Segui was quite open in his discussions about personal usage of steroids and other related drugs. He said that players of the Major League Baseball asked him many times whether he had used steroids. The former Major League Baseball first baseman admitted that he had administered them. But Segui claimed that he had never spoken about intake of steroids with Brian McNamee.
Segui supported McNamee’s decision to save evidence about intake of forbidden preparations by his clients. According to the former first baseman of the Major League Baseball, it is a proper decision because sometimes innocent guys are blamed but guilty persons are covered. So, Brian McNamee could help to reveal the truth.
Although federal prosecutors asked the judge Walton to permit Segui to provide testimony in the trial linked with Roger Clemens, the judge didn’t announce his decision yet.

David Segui supported Brain McNamee’s decision to store evidence about steroid use by his clients

Federal prosecutors asked the judge Reggie Walton to permit the former first baseman of the Major League Baseball David Segui to testify in the trial related to the case of Roger Clemens. This person had a conversation with Brian McNamee, the former personal trainer of Roger Clemens. It is claimed that they have spoken about administration of steroids by the former prominent baseball player.
Brain McNamee was called to testify against Roger Clemens because he turned out to be the only person who had direct knowledge about application of steroids and other related drugs by Clemens. Moreover, he saved a beer can with vials, syringes and needles which were allegedly mixed with Roger Clemens’ blood. DNA analysis was made in order to determine whether the blood belonged really to Clemens.
Rusty Hardin, a defense attorney for Roger Clemens, said that the steroid evidence was created by Brian McNamee after the questioning by federal prosecutors.
But prosecutors claimed that David Segui told them that Brian McNamee said that he stored several things as evidence of steroid use by several players in 2001. It was certain years before the former trainer of Roger Clemens became the target of the investigation.
Information provided by David Segui to federal prosecutors differed entirely from that provided to the sportswriter Jim Baumbach. His affirmations provided to the sportswriter were published in an article in 2008. According to that piece of news, Segui confirmed that he had never spoken about steroids with his friend Brian McNamee.
Segui learnt about involvement of Brian McNamee into the case of Roger Clemens only in 2006, when he read an article in the Los Angeles Times.
Segui said openly about personal intake of steroids and other related medications. He said that he had been asked many times by players of the Major League Baseball whether he had used steroids. This person acknowledged that he had utilized them. But Segui affirmed that he had never discussed about application of steroids with Brian McNamee.
Segui supported McNamee’s decision to store evidence about intake of forbidden substances by his clients. According to Segui, it is a proper decision because sometimes innocent persons are blamed but guilty persons are covered. Thus, he could help to support the truth.
Although the judge Walton was asked to permit David Segui to testify in the trial connected with Roger Clemens, the decision of the judge is not announced yet.

Influence of positives for steroids on financial position of certain sport promotional companies

The Haitian-American professional boxer Andre Berto tested positive for the steroid Nandrolone. The Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency (VADA) conducted the drug testing.
He had to fight against Victor Ortiz on June 23, 2012 in Los Angeles. He agreed to submit to random drug testing before the match. Both “A” and “B” urine samples indicated about application of Nandrolone.
It was already the second time this month, when the VADA tested fighters and caught them using steroids. The first boxer that tested positive this month due to tests conducted by the VADA was Lamont Peterson. He was scheduled to meet Amir Khan. It is quite ironically that Peterson requested random blood and urine testing. A carbon isotope ratio test conducted by the VADA indicated that testosterone of exogenous origin was in this fighter’s system certain weeks before the fight.
Financial position of several companies suffered due to tests conducted by the VADA. For example, Golden Boy Promotions lost essential potential profit due to Lamont Peterson’s positives. It was defined by the CEO of the company Richard Schaeffer that the company lost 250, 000 dollars.
The cancelation of the fight between Andre Berto and Victor Ortiz will probably not influence greatly on financial position of certain promotional companies because another boxer will possibly replace Andre Berto and will meet Ortiz.
Andre Berto didn’t explain why he tested positive. He hired the attorney Howard Jacobs who would represent and defeat him.
Andre Berto noted that he had never used steroids. Thus, he noticed that he investigated with his attorney what could lead to positives for steroids. The boxer Andre Berto concluded that he had never cheated; he succeeded in sport due to hard trainings and dedication.
The attorney Howard Jacobs was hired by numerous other athletes who turned out to be victims of fake dietary supplements.
It is said that since Nandrolone has too long half life and it is detected easily, it isn’t very popular among dopers. But it has been determined many times that some food supplements contained the ingredient nandrolone which caused positives for steroids. But since sometimes not every ingredient is listed on the label, sportspersons become victims of contaminated sport supplements.

Nevada Athletic Commission overlooks influence of steroids on performance during workouts

Chael Sonnen, an American mixed martial artist is allowed to use anabolic steroids. The physician Timothy Trainor noticed that this mixed martial artist really had hypogonadism.
What does this condition represent? Hypogonadism is connected with insufficient secretion of testosterone. Physicians ordinarily indicate testosterone replacement therapy in order to treat this condition.
Chael Sonnen has received a therapeutic use exemption (TUE). Thus, this athlete is allowed to apply steroids for clinical needs and fight against Anderson Silva at UFC 148 in July 2012.
According to recommendations of Chael Sonnen’s health care provider, he should introduce injections of Testosterone Enanthate and Testosterone Cypionate twice per week. The doses which are prescribed have not been revealed. But under rules of the Nevada Athletic Commission, blood serum levels of testosterone in Chael Sonnen should be within normal range on the morning after the match with Silva.
The physician Trainor claims that those who compete with TUE should be tested on the morning after the match to find out whether they have administered something right before the match.
The doctor Trainor suggests that testosterone can cause performance-enhancing effects, if it is utilized right before the fight. He confirms that injections must not be introduced in the days before a match to prevent enhanced levels of testosterone.
But it seems that the NAC is not aware that steroids produce effects connected with enhancement of performance, not only if they are used right before competitions. Intake of steroids influences significantly on performance during workouts before competitions. And the effects remain even after sportspeople discontinue applying them.
Sonnen had increased testosterone levels at UFC 117. He noted that he had tested positive because he had been on TRT.  He appealed his suspension and it was reduced to 6 months from one year. But Chael Sonnen didn’t have any TUE that time.

Galabin Boevski smuggled narcotics

Galabin Boevski, a Bulgarian weightlifter, World Champion and Olympic Champion, was sentenced to nine months in jail because of illicit international drug trade. He was arrested in October 2011 at the Guarulhos International Airport in Brazil after he tried to board the plane with 8 kg of cocaine. This athlete was led to Bulgaria. Cocaine was estimated. It could be sold at the price of 500, 000 dollars on the streets in countries of Europe.
Galabin Boevski is a well-known sportsman in Bulgaria. He is considered to be one of the most well-known weightlifters in this country.
First he was caught using steroids in 1995. Of course, he was sentenced to suspension.
Then this weightlifter was caught taking prohibited products in 2004. It was the second time when he broke doping laws. In fact, Boevski didn’t test positive for any banned products. But anti-doping officials defined that he didn’t provide own urine. The urine that was provided by this sportsperson belonged to another individual. As a result, Boevski was sentenced to 8-year suspension. During serving the suspension he was caught smuggling cocaine.
Galabin Boevski became famous due to his achievements in weightlifting. This athlete won gold medals at several competitions: at the 1999 World Weightlifting Championships in Athens, the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney and the 2001 World Weightlifting Championships in Antalya.
At the 2003 World Championships in Vancouver this weightlifter and his teammates from Bulgaria provided urine samples that belonged to another person. It was determined by anti-doping officials that the three urine samples belonged to one individual. These sportspersons received suspensions. Boevski appealed the suspension but it was not successful.
Boevski broke certain world records at various competitions. He held 3 world records. The best lifts of this person were following: a 162, 5 kg snatch, 196, 5 kg clean and jerk and a 357, 5 kg of two lifts at the 1999 Championships.
It is wondering but Boevski’s reputation was not destroyed in Bulgaria. He applied his status of celebrity in sports in order to establish a Technogym fitness center in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. The center was named Atama Wellness and Spa.
Moreover, Maria Isabel do Prado, the Brazilian judge, confirmed that Galabin Boevski applied also his status of celebrity in sports in order to traffic cocaine. She also noted that this sportsman utilized the participation of his daughter in a Brazilian tennis tournament in order to cover his illegal deals related to trafficking of the narcotic.
Boevski said that he would appeal the conviction.

Roger Clemens’ prosecutors failed to prove that this person had lied before Congress

The desire of the federal government connected with the case of Roger Clemens was following: they wanted to prove that this athlete had lied before the Congress about administration of anabolic steroids and HGH. But the government was not able to achieve this goal. It was expected that Andy Pettitte would claim that Roger Clemens had admitted that he had administered the prohibited products during a conversation in 1999 or in 2000. But the testimony of Andy Pettitte was shocking for prosecutors. He stated that he couldn’t confirm that Roger Clemens had used steroids and HGH because he was not sure.
Actually, were the prosecutors of Roger Clemens disappointed by the testimony of Andy Pettitte? This man swore for the 2008 Congressional hearings on application of steroids in the Major League Baseball that Roger Clemens admitted to administration of HGH. But he presented opposite testimony at the Barrett Prettyman Federal Courthouse in Washington.
Michael Attanasio, a defense attorney for Roger Clemens, asked Andy Pettitte whether he may say that he is 50-50 that he has understood wrongly Roger Clemens about HGH. Pettitte answered that he is indeed 50-50 about this aspect.
When Clemens’ prosecutors heard the answer of Andy Pettitte, they didn’t know what to do. They claimed that Andy Pettitte never answered this way, when he was asked several times.
The U. S. District Court Judge Reggie Walton claimed that he understood that Andy Pettitte’s answer has been conflicted. Actually, his statement was following: “I don’t know”.
The attorneys for Roger Clemens used the moment of the prosecutors’ confusion. They requested the judge to brush aside Andy Pettitte’s testimony because he was 50-50. The attorneys concluded that he probably misunderstood Roger Clemens or he can’t remember the details of the conversation.
The government has stated that the jury still allows taking in consideration the affirmation of Andy Pettitte. ASUSA Dunham has claimed that under federal rules jury is allowed to choose which testimony to believe. This person hopes that the jury will disregard the testimony that doesn’t support the government.
Thus, the testimony provided by Andy Pettitte and his wife caused problems. Testimonies of Andy’s wife during the first trial led to the declaration of a mistrial by the judge Walton.
Pettitte confirms that he is Roger Clemens’ friend. Clemens must also confirm that they are friends after Andy  Pettitte’s last testimony.

Steroid investigations and murders

Police officers raided Cullen Mutrie’s house for a steroid investigation. This ma shot five police officers at his home. As a result, the Greenland Police Chief Michael Maloney was killed; other four police officials were wounded. The next morning Cullen Mutrie and a woman were found dead.
It is suggested that Cullen Mutrie was applying steroids at the time of the shootout. Jane Young, the New Hampshire Associate Attorney General, noted that toxicology reports were waiting in order to find out whether metabolites of steroids were in the body of this person.
Police officials claimed that Cullen Mutrie had had a very muscular physique. This man worked at Genetix Fitness in Seabrook. It was noted that he was 6 feet 3 inches tall. He weighed 275 pounds. During a raid which took place in July 2010 police officers discovered anabolic steroids at his home. The policeman Wayne Young saw them in a coffee table. He said that he had noticed a plastic bag with several vials. A vial was with powder; others contained liquid. The labels indicated that they were steroids.
The New Hampshire State Crime Lab analyzed the vials. It was claimed that the vials contained Trenbolone Acetate, Sustanon 250, Boldenone Undecylenate and Nandrolone Decanoate.
John Miller, a professor of kinesiology, was asked whether a connection between the criminal actions and “roid rage” of anabolic steroids could present. The professor said that it was plausible. But according to him, it is impossible to conclude that there was a direct link between intake of anabolic steroids and the shootout.
John Miller supposed that steroids which were on the black market were provided from legal pharmaceutical companies. But he has been mistaken because the majority of steroids which are sold on the black market are produced in underground labs. It is even suggested that Mutrie manufactured steroids.
Since a link between crimes and steroid use is a controversial issue, not only police officers but also media investigates the case related to the cop-killer.

Affirmations of Alistar Overeem’s doctor were used against this athlete

Alistar Overeem, a mixed martial artist, appealed his suspension that was received by him for intake of anabolic steroids in April 2012. But he couldn’t win his appeal against members of NSAC. Alistar Overeem forfeited his license for 9 months. Then he will be allowed to receive it back.
This fighter admitted that he had applied injectable testosterone which was advised him by his physician. Overeem utilized the strategy which was claimed to be boring. He noted that he had never used anabolic steroids or other related drugs intentionally. He tried to make the NSAC believe that his injectable administration of steroids was accidental.
The defense attorney for Alistar Overeem was David Chesnoff who has been experienced in representing well-known sportspeople.
David Chesnoff called the personal health care provider of his client to testify during the hearing. It was believed that Dr. Molina would testify in defense for this fighter. Testimonies of this physician were too pitiable. The doctor Molina presented an explanation for recommendations of several medications which resulted in Overeem’s enhanced testosterone: epitestosterone ratio.
The treating doctor of Alistar Overeem acknowledged that he recommended and injected this athlete with a mixture of Toradol and Dexamethasone because he suffered from an injury. Actually, these drugs are applied for anti-inflammatory needs. But administration of testosterone in case of injuries is not approved by the FDA.
It is supposed that Dr. Molina hasn’t warned this fighter that these medicines contain the anabolic steroid testosterone. But it is obviously that he has never asked about it.
Thus, testimonies of the physician Molina turned out to display lack of the evidence connected with therapeutic purposes for application of forbidden drugs by Alistar Overeem. The physician couldn’t present any reasonable explanation which could justify prescribing of Toradol and Dexamethasone to this athlete. Testimonies of the health care provider Molina worked against Alistar Overeem.
Actually, it became evident that Overeem was a victim of the health care provider’s quack.
But it is possible to suppose that this strategy was designed by the defense attorney for this athlete.
The commissioner Pat Lundval was probably impressed by the defense of Overeem. She even referred to him as to a “smart guy”.
The members of the NSAC seemed to be convinced that Overeem has been really a great guy but he has surrounded himself with such questionable individuals, as the health care provider Moline. They advised him to look for more qualified professionals in the future.
