Influence of positives for steroids on financial position of certain sport promotional companies

The Haitian-American professional boxer Andre Berto tested positive for the steroid Nandrolone. The Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency (VADA) conducted the drug testing.
He had to fight against Victor Ortiz on June 23, 2012 in Los Angeles. He agreed to submit to random drug testing before the match. Both “A” and “B” urine samples indicated about application of Nandrolone.
It was already the second time this month, when the VADA tested fighters and caught them using steroids. The first boxer that tested positive this month due to tests conducted by the VADA was Lamont Peterson. He was scheduled to meet Amir Khan. It is quite ironically that Peterson requested random blood and urine testing. A carbon isotope ratio test conducted by the VADA indicated that testosterone of exogenous origin was in this fighter’s system certain weeks before the fight.
Financial position of several companies suffered due to tests conducted by the VADA. For example, Golden Boy Promotions lost essential potential profit due to Lamont Peterson’s positives. It was defined by the CEO of the company Richard Schaeffer that the company lost 250, 000 dollars.
The cancelation of the fight between Andre Berto and Victor Ortiz will probably not influence greatly on financial position of certain promotional companies because another boxer will possibly replace Andre Berto and will meet Ortiz.
Andre Berto didn’t explain why he tested positive. He hired the attorney Howard Jacobs who would represent and defeat him.
Andre Berto noted that he had never used steroids. Thus, he noticed that he investigated with his attorney what could lead to positives for steroids. The boxer Andre Berto concluded that he had never cheated; he succeeded in sport due to hard trainings and dedication.
The attorney Howard Jacobs was hired by numerous other athletes who turned out to be victims of fake dietary supplements.
It is said that since Nandrolone has too long half life and it is detected easily, it isn’t very popular among dopers. But it has been determined many times that some food supplements contained the ingredient nandrolone which caused positives for steroids. But since sometimes not every ingredient is listed on the label, sportspersons become victims of contaminated sport supplements.

Steroid investigations and murders

Police officers raided Cullen Mutrie’s house for a steroid investigation. This ma shot five police officers at his home. As a result, the Greenland Police Chief Michael Maloney was killed; other four police officials were wounded. The next morning Cullen Mutrie and a woman were found dead.
It is suggested that Cullen Mutrie was applying steroids at the time of the shootout. Jane Young, the New Hampshire Associate Attorney General, noted that toxicology reports were waiting in order to find out whether metabolites of steroids were in the body of this person.
Police officials claimed that Cullen Mutrie had had a very muscular physique. This man worked at Genetix Fitness in Seabrook. It was noted that he was 6 feet 3 inches tall. He weighed 275 pounds. During a raid which took place in July 2010 police officers discovered anabolic steroids at his home. The policeman Wayne Young saw them in a coffee table. He said that he had noticed a plastic bag with several vials. A vial was with powder; others contained liquid. The labels indicated that they were steroids.
The New Hampshire State Crime Lab analyzed the vials. It was claimed that the vials contained Trenbolone Acetate, Sustanon 250, Boldenone Undecylenate and Nandrolone Decanoate.
John Miller, a professor of kinesiology, was asked whether a connection between the criminal actions and “roid rage” of anabolic steroids could present. The professor said that it was plausible. But according to him, it is impossible to conclude that there was a direct link between intake of anabolic steroids and the shootout.
John Miller supposed that steroids which were on the black market were provided from legal pharmaceutical companies. But he has been mistaken because the majority of steroids which are sold on the black market are produced in underground labs. It is even suggested that Mutrie manufactured steroids.
Since a link between crimes and steroid use is a controversial issue, not only police officers but also media investigates the case related to the cop-killer.

Bullying excuse of Australian bodybuilder

Brenton Dowell, an Australian bodybuilder, was caught possessing and illegally importing great quantities of anabolic steroids in March 2011. It was determined that these steroids could be sufficient to be applied for more than sixty years by one user. A lot of people believed that this bodybuilder would be sentenced to imprisonment. But Brenton Dowell avoided imprisonment successfully.
The Australian Customs and Border Protection Service noticed that this bodybuilder had attempted to import more than 3 kg of testosterone powder. The packages with the raw steroid powder were mailed in September, October and November 2011. They were directed to three various places: to Dowell’s home, to his father and his stepfather.
Actually, such large amounts of raw powder could be ordered only for manufacture of anabolic steroids by underground labs for selling them on the black market. 3, 000 g of raw testosterone powder could be used for preparing of 1500 10-ml vials with ready drugs.
Len Hartnett, the defense attorney for Brenton Dowell, claimed that the steroid powder had been purchased for his client’s self-administration. He added that Dowell’s usage of steroids was a response to bullying attacks that he received, when he was an overweight child. Thus, according to Len Harnett, Brenton Dowell became addicted to bodybuilding and started to utilize steroids because he was an overweight kid.
The judge Graeme Hicks was impressed by affirmations of the defense attorney Len Harnett who described experiences of Dowell in his childhood. He noted that it could be concluded that Brenton Dowell had become obsessed by bodybuilding.
Thus, the judge accepted bullying excuse. Based on the descriptions and arguments of the defense attorney, the judge Graeme Hicks concluded that the bodybuilder Brenton Dowell had bought steroids personal usage and for sales to his friends in order to pay off personal use.
The bodybuilder Brenton Dowell was enforced to pay a fine of 10, 000 dollars and to serve 2-year probation.

Jay Cutler says about his efforts in bodybuilding

Bodybuilding is not included in exciting sports. Any bodybuilder can support this statement. People that are involved in bodybuilding spend much time at gyms, training; they prepare proper food and make uninterrupted researches. What is this work done for? – Only for 30 seconds on stage. Undoubtedly, if bodybuilders achieve high results, they obtain awards, fame, and admiration of others. Their photos are posted on covers of fit magazines. They become prominent.
Unluckily, the most of bodybuilders never achieve this level because it is needed much work and money for this goal. But any bodybuilder dreams about this level: to be a top bodybuilder, to receive money and other prizes. If you have any interest to learn what is needed for success in bodybuilding, you can look at Jay Cutler and several other individuals. You can also learn role of steroids for achievement of success in bodybuilding.
Jay Cutler is one of the most well-known bodybuilders in history. Furthermore, he has got Mr. Olympia titles 4 times. This bodybuilder spends much time for sports. He confirms that he doesn’t make plans. He eats around the clock. Jay Cutler consumes 4, 000 – 7, 000 calories per day. Chicken breasts are at the center of his many meals.
It is interesting to mention that Cutler spends more time for consumption of meals than for workouts. He lifts for about two hours and gets cardio an hour per day. Cutler claims that his day differs significantly from thoughts of people about it. Those who are not involved in bodybuilding suppose that bodybuilders train 8 hours a day. They believe that if they administer steroids, they will look like professional bodybuilders.
Jay Cutler notices that steroids are not everything in bodybuilding but they play an essential role in it. He confirms that if anyone desires to reach great success in sports, he/she has to use steroids. Ron Stevens, who is in the sport 15 years, supports the affirmation of Jay Cutler about steroids. He notices that it is not possible to compete without administration of these medications. After some shows Ron Stevens decided to take steroids.
Stevens is a dedicated bodybuilder as well. He eats much food that could be sufficient for a family that consists of five members.
The most of bodybuilders haven’t obtained great supplement contracts. They don’t have enough money in order to support their efforts and obtain titles of Mr. Olympia.
Actually, the most of serious bodybuilders have regular jobs and hope that they will reach great success one day.
As for Jay Cutler, he had two jobs. He worked and spent every dollar he received for bodybuilding. Finally, he obtained great success. His each effort was paid off.
Meditating about Jay Cutler, any bodybuilder can be encouraged to hope that he will succeed obviously one day. Infamous bodybuilders may dream at least.

However D. J. Williams and Ryan McBean didn’t test positive for controlled substances, they were banned

The National Football League sentenced to suspensions D. J. Williams, a linebacker, and defensive lineman Ryan McBean of the team Denver Broncos for violation of steroid policy. These football players were suspended from 6 games. But they were not banned for application of steroids. They didn’t test positive for steroids or other prohibited medicines. They were accused in providing “non-human” urine samples to the officer of drug testing.
D. J. William confirmed that he had never tested for any forbidden medication during 8 years of his career. The linebacker noticed that he was proud of his records. The linebacker of the NFL noticed that he was also proud of his manner in that he conducted himself, being a sportsman.
Peter Schaffer, the defensive attorney for McBean, stated that the NFL had violated rights of the defensive lineman. He mentioned that since McBean had never tested positive for any banned product, the NFL didn’t have any right to ban him.
Peter Schaffer claimed that he wanted to make it clear that neither D. J. Williams, nor Ryan McBean tested positive for forbidden drugs.
A lawsuit was filed in Denver County Court against bans of these football players.
The players stated that the drug testing officer had violated some rules linked with the procedure of collecting urine samples.
Peter Schaffer noted that some similarities had been between his client and Ryan Braun. Braun won his appeal linked with his suspension from 50 games for intake of testosterone. Ryan Braun could prove that the drug testing officer Dino Laurenzi violated steroid policy.
As for Laurenzi, different anti-doping agencies defended and supported him. The WADA also supported him. It was confirmed that there was the same procedure of collecting and sending urine samples not only for the MLB but also for the WADA.
But as for the drug testing officer that collected samples of Williams and McBean, another attitude was displayed to him. He was fired by the NFL for improper doing his duty.
At the hearing the NFL administrators acknowledged that the drug testing officer violated the chain of custody for urine samples.
Nonetheless, the appeal on behalf of the football players was rejected.

How did Patrick Arnold start manufacturing steroids?

No one from New Jersey desires to be involved in a low-paying job that is related to production of chemicals which are used in shampoos and hair gels. Let tell you what has happened in this state in 1994.
Patrick Arnold, a person that was 24 years old, was alone in a room. He was mixing several specific thickeners to increase viscosity of several liquids. He was doing this job a lot of time. So, he had sufficient time to cogitate about his fate, condemning it. He was unhappy that the job was bothering and nothing interesting happened. But there was no any other place to go.
Although his future was before him, certain months passed before he saw the way.
Patrick Arnold was a glowing weightlifter. But he has discontinued much time ago to put his efforts to pump up. Nevertheless, everyday after his job he went to a gym where he had trainings and talked with other sportspersons. Their conversions were frequently related to anabolic steroids. Arnold had specialized in chemistry at the University of New Haven. That’s why  the discussions related to steroids led him to meditations.
One day after Arnold had stirred thickeners he went to the chemistry library and looked at molecular structures of the steroids that were presented in several fitness magazines. Anabolic steroids had been already pronounced to be forbidden products. But there was still enough information about these medications.
Looking at molecular structures of steroids, Arnold was meditating why he was doing that uninteresting job. This young man concluded that it would be much more pleasant for him to try making steroids himself. He ordered several chemicals through the company. It was required to have them for manufacture of steroids. Nobody was aware what he was going to do.
Beginning the new job, Arnold endured several troubles. He didn’t obtain success at once. For example, he desired to make a product which had to have a crystalline structure. But it turned out to be that he got sticky oil. He understood that it indicated that potentially toxic impurities and substrates were not disunited from the brew. Step by step he became more experienced. He began to utilize solvents in order to wash impurities and reagents away. He could make desired preparations. Their crystalline structures demonstrated that they had needed level of purity.

Steven Kettman doesn’t believe that the story of Canseco about testosterone replacement therapy is true

Jose Canseco, a former player of the MLB, turned out to be one of the most scorned individuals in steroid era of baseball. He was pushed out professional baseball after he had named certain prominent baseball players as consumers of steroids in the book “Juiced: Wild Times, Rampant ‘Roids, Smash Hits and How Baseball Got Big”.
Everybody is against Jose Canseco. It is noticed that if anybody supported him, it would be Steven Kettman. This individual has been a co-author in writing the book of Canseco “Juiced”. But Kettman didn’t support the former baseball player. Furthermore, he was on the opposite side. Being a guest of the Huffington Post, Kettman pronounced certain ridiculous words about Canseco’s recent incident linked with anabolic steroids.
Jose Canseco desires to come back to playing baseball professionally. He has been invited by the “Tigres de Quintana Roo” of Cancun. This team is a part of the Mexican Baseball League. Playing for this team would be the following stop of Canseco for comeback to the MLB.
But his return to professional baseball has turned to be unsuccessful due to application of Testosterone Cypionate and Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG)  for testosterone replacement therapy. A lot of articles claim that Jose Canseco has tested positive for steroids and has been banned for usage of steroids. But it is not true. Jose Canseco has claimed that he has only needed to present certain documents that have supported his therapeutic need to have TRT in order to be in Mexican Baseball League.
Kettman doesn’t believe that the story about TRT is true. He claims that Jose Canseco has to stop humiliating himself. This person notes that Jose Canseco should stop acting so, as if he were a cartoon character.
Kettman didn’t make any distinction between therapeutic Canseco’s need to take steroids for TRT and those who apply forbidden substances for athletic needs.   Steven Kettman notices that Jose Canseco continues to take forbidden drugs in order to enhance performance.
Kettman has tried to disparage some myths connected with steroids in the book “Juiced”. The book supports steroid use for clinical purposes and promotes application of these drugs for hormone replacement therapy in elder persons.
It is stated that the most controversial words of the book are those where authors mention names of Mark McGwire, Juan Gonzalez, Rafael Palmeiro, Ivan Rodriguez, and Jason Giambi, noticing that these baseball players take unfair advantages due to intake of steroids.
Not only Steven Kettman has distanced himself from the book “Juiced”. Canseco has also reported that he has nightmares about steroids since writing the book and that he regrets that he has named these baseball players. Jose Canseco asked some of them for apologizing.
ESPN sportswriters criticize the former professional baseball player for desire to distance himself from the own book.

The former police official David Busemeyer confirmed that addiction to steroids led him to the corruption

David Busemeyer, a former police officer of the West Chest Police Department, attempted to convince a judge that his addiction to anabolic steroids had led to his corruption. But he wasn’t capable to convince the judge. As a result, the former police officer was sentenced to 6 months in jail. The former police official was pleaded guilty to leaking confidential information of the Police Department that started an investigation linked with a steroid dealer.
The former police official said in the court that he had been wrathful and upset due to his addiction to steroids.
Richard Skelton, the defense attorney for the former police officer, tried to convince the judge that his client had to be treated from his addiction. He tried to argue that it would be the most suitable sentence for this individual’s crime.
According to several court documents, David Busemeyer used steroids for 4 years. Moreover, the former police officer used 10-15 pain tablets under prescriptions to relieve pains caused by steroids.
But the judge refused to accept such excuse. It seemed at the beginning that he intended to hand down even harsher sentence but then he gave a lighter sentence because he had to follow guidelines for sentencing.
The judge Spaeth noted that David Busemeyer had put in danger own safety and safety of other police officials. He imperiled reputation of the whole police department.
It became obvious that David Busemeyer had extra-marital relationship with the sister of the distributor of steroids who was investigated by the West Chest Police Department. Busemeyer informed his girlfriend and his brother that an investigation to bust the distributor of steroids began to be conducted.
Although David Busemeyer didn’t mention the name of the informant, he presented enough information to guess who the informant was.
Police officers raided Busemeyer’s house and found steroids and evidence of his intake of steroids.
It was chosen not to bring a criminal action against Busemeyer for possession of steroids and fake prescriptions for application of these medications.

Effectiveness of Naposim cycles
Naposim can be applied together with different medicines. For example, stacks of Naposim and Winstrol or Oxandrolone promote gaining strength evidentially. An efficacious Naposim cycle which induces adding both muscle mass and strength includes Naposim, Sustanon, Deca Durabolin, Nolvadex, Clomid and HCG. This cycle is common; it can be used by beginners and experienced users of steroids. Another Naposim cycle requires in addition to application of Naposim such products, as Deca Durabolin and Testosterone Cypionate or Testosterone Enanthate. A post-cycle therapy is an important aspect which must present after any steroid cycle.

Josh Barnett tested positive for steroids two times

The former American mixed martial artist Josh Barnett has got a conditional license by the California State Athletic Commission in order to fight. This athlete tested positive for the anabolic steroid which is well-known under the name “Masteron”. It was in June, 2009. Analyses of two urine samples showed that Josh Barnett had utilized this forbidden drug. It was before his fight against Fedor Emelianenko which was scheduled on August 1, 2009. As a result of his positive, the fighter was excluded from the event and sentenced to a suspension. Thus, Josh Barnett forfeited his license.
Josh Barnett denied intake of steroids or other related drugs intentionally. It was the second time, when this athlete claimed that he had never applied steroids knowingly.
Several years ago this fighter tested positive for steroids as well. After his fight in Las Vegas at UFC 36 in March 2002 he tested positive for metabolites of certain banned medications. So, he forfeited his UFC Heavyweight title.
This wrestler was banned for six months by the Nevada Athletic Commission. Shortly after he was banned he left the USA for Japan. Josh Barnett fought there for about 5 years. Later he returned home. During his defense he blamed a dietary supplement that was offered for sales legally. He noted that he had taken that supplement in 2002. It was included in the list of the controlled substances later, in 2004. This athlete claimed that it had been legal, when he had applied it.
Some persons were wondered that the CSAC granted Barnett a license in order to fight again. This person has never acknowledged that he had applied steroids.
This mixed martial artist noticed that a banned sportsperson had to talk publicly about evils of steroids in order to participate in competitions again.
Josh Barnett was capable to convince the commission that he thought that steroids represented great evil. Barnett asked whether they ever thought that steroids were bad.

Steroids were founded in the room of a famous British politician’s son

Jonny Spelman, the son of a well-known British politician, was caught possessing steroids after he had noticed about application of anabolic steroids on different forums linked with bodybuilding. Caroline Spelman, Jonny’s mother, belongs to the Conservative Party. Recently she was chosen to be the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
Steroids were discovered in Jonny’s room at the Tonbridge School in Kent. Since this boy broke International Rugby Board the policy which bans steroid use, he received a ban. The boy turned out to be the youngest rugby player of the Tonbridge who was punished for violation of anti-steroid rules.
This teenage tore the anterior cruciate ligament of his leg during a match in September 2011. He ordered some steroids per internet in order to obtain faster recovery from the injury. This teenage wrote about administration of steroids on different bodybuilding forums under the name “Spelmanjm”. He noticed that nobody could disturb him to apply steroids. He wrote that he didn’t want to discontinue using these medicines.
This boy mentioned about steroidal and prohorone supplements that have been taken by him. The boy mentioned names of following products: M1T, SD Matrix, Tren Bombs, Dianabol, Winstrol, Testosterone and Anavar.
He asked for recommendations related to administration of Testosterone Propionate and Parabolan. He also interested in post cycle therapy with Clomid and Nolvadex.
Jonny’s mother spent large sums of money in legal and court costs, trying to disturb publishing about Jonny’s ban by the “Daily Star Sunday” The defensive lawyers for Spelman noted that the news would be political in this case. According to their affirmations, it would be a political attack on the Secretary Spelman. The news linked with usage of steroids by Jonny would serve as a political weapon against his mother.
Gareth Morgan, the editor of the “Daily Star Sunday”, stated that there was a freedom for press and published news linked with this case in March, 2012.
Morgan noted that they had become disappointed by the family of Spelman and by her attempt to disturb publishing the sad news about her family. She attempted to apply her influence for this goal.
Caroline and Mark Spelman, parents of Jonny, expressed words of support for their son due to results of steroid use. He will be able to return to professional rugby only after serving of the suspension.

Rampage Jackson tells about effects of testosterone during an interview

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, a mixed martial artist and actor, told about effects of the steroid testosterone in the interview with Gary Alexander of “Fighters Only Magazine”. He told about his decision to apply testosterone, about its effects on enhancement of muscle mass, weight of the body and his sexual life. He said these words after his fail at UFC 144 in Japan.
Rampage Jackson was honestly talking about his decision to find a doctor who could prescribe him testosterone replacement therapy. He said honestly because he thought that testosterone didn’t include in anabolic steroids. Rampage Jackson noticed that steroids were for muscles but testosterone was natural. Thus, he was mistaken, considering that testosterone is not an anabolic steroid.
In fact, use of testosterone replacement therapy in mixed martial arts is a controversial issue. Testosterone is applied legally in case of hypogonadism (low testosterone production). So, mixed martial artists who suffer from this illness may get a therapeutic use exemption which permits to apply the steroid testosterone legally.
But the issue that is widely discussed is whether the fighter who applies therapeutic quantity of testosterone may obtain unfair advantage during competitions.
The most of sportspersons that have received a therapeutic use exemption for administration of testosterone for clinical purposes deny getting any increase of performance due to testosterone replacement therapy.
As for Rampage Jackson, he admitted that testosterone replacement therapy had promoted increasing his muscle mass, speeded his recovery from his injuries and had positive effect on his sexual abilities. The mixed martial artist noted that he had experienced a knee injury. After he had administered three dosages of testosterone, the knee was healed. He gained bodyweight and muscle mass. This mixed martial artist stated that small measures of the steroid testosterone had produced significant changes in him. His sexual life was improved essentially; he started to feel as if he had been just 25.
Rampage Jackson blamed steroids for his impossibility to lose weight to meet criteria of the 206lb weight category.
Jackson reports that he doesn’t violate any rule. He uses testosterone and confirms that it is legally.
He notes that he is happy that he applies testosterone.

Inhaled steroids have been claimed to be alternatives to oral medications that are useful for persons with asthma

Inhaled corticosteroids are frequently directed in case of early asthma complications.
According to certain recent researches, one may enhance the typical dosage of inhaled corticosteroids by 8 times, but benefits will be not enhanced under such circumstance. Ejaz Yousef, a doctor that has been involved in these researches, notices that if a doctor sees that medical position of a patient becomes worse, he/she may recommend taking oral steroids instead of increasing the quantity of inhaled corticosteroids. Enhancing the quantity of inhaled corticosteroids is not without any adverse result. This aspect leads to various unwanted responses. For example, the hypothalamic-pituitary adrenal axis can be suppressed in such situation.
Usage of inhaled steroids was claimed to be alternative treatment to administering oral medications. It was in 1997. It was fixed to indicate inhaled corticosteroids as alternatives of oral preparations that are effective for patients with asthma complications.
Later, certain studies have shown that application of enhanced doses of inhaled corticosteroids systematically doesn’t increase positive effects.
Yousef and his colleagues have conducted a research which implicated almost 200 children of 2-17 years. These children were cured with inhaled steroids during 3 months. They were chosen randomly for therapies for a period of 12 days. Any kid who experienced asthma complications was given inhaled steroids. Then the results were evaluated by the specialists.
No any child that smoked, experienced signs of chronic asthma or lung pathology was implicated in the study.
Patients needed to inform about their side effects via telephone within 72 hours. Thus, it was reported about cough during nighttime, wheeze, shortness of breath and intolerance for exercises. Every sign was evaluated according to a score which was ranged from 0 to 4. 0 meant no any response; 4 meant the most increased severity level.
Only 4 children out of 82 the kids that were given high quantities of inhaled corticosteroids had to apply systemic corticosteroids. 2 of them were given doubled dosages; others two were administering the dosage that was more increased by 8 times than a usual one.
According to the results of the study, effectiveness of the drugs, placebo effect, supervision of specialists and treatment of individuals during early stages of asthma exacerbation were responsible for getting positive results.
This as well as other researches show that not each story about steroids is connected with abuse and administration of them by sportspeople. Steroids are effective for numerous medical cases.

Inhaled steroids don’t cause side effects connected with visual system

Although there are numerous steroids which lead to serious adverse reactions, there are also such steroids which benefit greatly for our health. Several latest studies related to the inhaled corticosteroid budesonide have given to our society certain hope. This product has been administrated numerous times in order to cure kids who have asthma. It has been believed that this product led to cataract in children that used it. But the recent researches have displayed that the risk connected with this negative consequence is very reduced.
Some experts at the University of Southern Denmark in Holding have conducted a study to define reality of occurring cataract in the kids that were cured with budesonide. There was no any cataract in 148 persons that were using this inhaled corticosteroid. Among those who didn’t have asthma and were not cured with budesonide 2 individuals had cataract. It was reported by the pediatric professor Soren Pedersen from the University of the Southern Denmark in Kolding. This statement was made during a meeting of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology in San Francisco. Soren Pedersen noticed that when it came to cataract, there was no any difference between those that took budesonide and those who didn’t apply it.
The doctor Soren Pederson and his colleagues have treated many patients that had asthma with budesonide during over 2 decades. There was no any indication that this corticosteroid could lead to any dangerous undesirable result. Kids that were given budesonide didn’t experience any growth disorders.
In the recent study 270 children suffering from asthma were given budesonide; 62 kids didn’t take budesonide because their parents feared of the consequences. Parents of those to whom budesonide was given stated that no any dangerous side effect was observed in their kids. 30 of those 62 children that applied the inhaled steroid budesonide felt positive effects in the treatment of asthma.
The experts have determined that the risk of cataract for those who cure asthma with the steroid budesonide was 5 %.
Soren Pedersen noted that there was no any cataract or another undesirable consequence linked with vision during over 15 years of his practice of curing kids with the steroid budesonide.
Hyun Don Yun, MD, a resident in allergy and immunology at Harbor Hospital in Baltimore, has reported that these aspects have shown that even long-time treatment with the steroid budesonide doesn’t lead to any undesirable consequence connected with visual system.
According to certain other researches, inhaled steroids have different influence on our body in comparison with effects of other steroids.
It is important to conclude that there are steroids that may benefit instead of causing dangerous negative effects. It is impossible to contest positive effects of some steroids.

Not only baseball players should be condemned for the steroid era

There is a topic that causes heated discussions. Especially baseball fans are excited, if they hear about steroids and their impact on this sport. So, if you want to cause heated discussions, you just have to note that some superstars win due to administration of steroids.
Various individuals have different opinions, when it comes to the discussions about steroids. Sometimes it is difficult to understand why several individuals that are involved in baseball take steroids. Do they play baseball only for money? Are they so blinded by money and other awards that they do everything for these perspectives? Undoubtedly, the most respected baseball players are those who don’t apply steroids and win due to natural talents. Those deserve respect, honor and awards that are not lured to take prohibited drugs for achievement of their goals.
It is believed that consumers of steroids must not be elected for the Hall of Fame. This factor represents attempt to escape from shame linked with the steroid era. You may see efforts to leave all negative aspects in past and to move further. But do these efforts to blame steroid users mean that the steroid era is over? Actually, a wrong perception is created here. The steroid era is not over. Those that think that condemnation of steroid users mean that baseball is drug-free are mistaken.
Everybody knows that numerous baseball players have administrated anabolic steroids and other related medications. Furthermore, nobody doubts that nowadays there are such players of baseball who continue to administrate forbidden preparations. Numerous individuals debate whether a player with average skills can become great due to intake of prohibited products. Certain individuals claim that without appropriate talents steroids do not profit. Talents should present. Others don’t agree with this affirmation. They claim that steroids have ability to increase performance whatever talent an athlete has.
But the problem is that we blame players who dope alone. But not only players must be blamed for the steroid era. Everyone knows what happens really during the steroid era.
It is unlikely that the steroid era is behind us. Baseball hasn’t yet past the dark clouds. Usage of steroids is still deeply in the heart of baseball. Decisive efforts should present to be convinced that doping doesn’t destroy baseball longer.

James Gahan, a father that injected his son with steroids, completed his time in jail

James Gahan injected Corey Gahan, his teenage son of 13 years old, with anabolic steroids. The father wanted him to become an Olympic athlete.
Corey Gahan became an inline skating champion at the national level. This boy won the 2004 Inline Speed Skating Nationals. He also won the 2nd place at the 2005 National Indoor Speed Skating Championship.
Corey’s father pleaded guilty in possessing and injecting steroids to his little son. This person collaborated with a coach from Florida in order to supply his son with following medicines: testosterone, Deca Durabolin, HGH and HCG. This person was arrested in May, 2004. As a result of his illegal actions, he was sentenced to 6-year imprisonment.
Since he had already completed his time in a jail, he was released. James Gahan started to confirm that his attitude to steroids and other controlled substances had been changed completely. He discussed with high school athletes about dangers linked with steroid use. It was a part of his community service to which he had been sentenced by the court.
This person noted nothing about influence of steroids on the life and health of his 13-year old son. James Gahan mentioned just about own experiences with these drugs. He noticed that if anyone desired to see negative consequences of anabolic steroids, he might manifest them because he used these drugs. James Gahan noted that he administrated 45 pills daily and his insides had eroded.
Actually, he didn’t explain what he meant, claiming that his insides had eroded because of steroids. He didn’t say anything about his illness that required 45 tablets daily!
This person said about Corey that he had known everything they had done. But he noted that since he was the father, he took the complete responsibility upon himself. But James Gahan concluded that it would be better for his son to admit that he had cheated.
But Corey doesn’t want to communicate with his father that has injected him with steroids. Earlier he has reported that his father has never been sorry for giving steroids to him; he has been sorry because he has been caught doing it.

The dietary supplement S-Mass Lean Gainer is responsible for Lawal’s positive for Masteron

King Mo Lawal acknowledged that he had used a dietary supplement that was tainted. As it turned out to be, that supplement contained 2 ingredients that were synthetic steroids. According to this person and his manager, consumption of this product led to positive for Masteron.
King Mo Lawal said during an interview for MMA Hour that he had got “S-Mass Lean Gainer” in a Max Muscle store in April, 2010. This supplement was manufactured by Steel Body Production.
But this is not the case, when steroid ingredients are not written. Synonyms of banned preparations are written on the label of S-Mass Lean Gainer. In fact, these steroids were the subjects of certain debates between anti-doping agencies and federal regulators since 2005. They are following: 2a-17a-Dimethyl-5aandrost-3-one 17b-ol and 4-Chloro-17a-Methyl-a-andro4-ene3, 17b-diol. These drugs are better known under the names: Superdrol and Promagnon.
As for Superdrol, it goes by methyldrostanolone, methasteron and 2a-17a-Dimethyl-5aandrost-3-one 17b-ol. So, methylated version of Masteron was determined in the urine sample of Lawal by a proper lab of the anti-doping agency.
The pharmaceutical company Anabolic Resources was the first that sold Superdrol as a dietary supplement. It was more than 5 years ago. This company was charged with elaborating of a new unapproved medication. Later Anabolic Resources pleaded guilty and acknowledged that they had marketed a synthetic steroid as a dietary supplement. As a result, this pharmaceutical company had to pay a fine of 500, 000 dollars.
As for Promagnon, it also originally appeared as a dietary supplement in 2005 by Peak Performance’ Labs. The government didn’t take any action against this pharmaceutical company for manufacturing and selling this steroid. But Peak Performance decided to stop producing this steroid in 2006.
However legal status of these two products is controversial, numerous companies have manufactured and distributed them as dietary supplements during about 6 years. Undoubtedly, those who are involved in this industry know about the status of these supplements but they continue to offer them for sales.
Mike Kogan, the manager for King Mo Lawal, proclaims that the full responsibilities should be taken by the companies that market synthetic steroids as dietary supplements. He believes that such companies misguide consumers intentionally.

The WADA wants to control all sport leagues around the world

Dana White, the president of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) tries to defend the drug-testing program of this organization. According to the UFC, their most advanced testing program for steroids is in North America. Is it actually true? Sometimes it seems that only foolish athletes are caught taking forbidden preparations by the UFC.
There are certain agencies that criticize the drug-testing policy of the UFC harshly. The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) and the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) are included in main agencies that criticize anti-doping program of the UFC. But why do they do it? Undoubtedly, they fight for own interests. They try to manage steroid testing in all professional and amateur sport leagues in the whole world. It isn’t a secret that steroid testing is a profitable business. Since they haven’t tested fighters for banned products, they have lost much money.
But there are also several actual problems connected with the UFC anti-doping program that should be taken in consideration. Travis Tygart, the CEO of the WADA, claims that drug testing of the UFC isn’t proper. Undoubtedly, the WADA has the most appropriate anti-doping protocol. The UFC drug-testing policy can’t be even compared with that of the UFC. Travis Tygart confirms that the UFC tries to look better than they are in reality. Travis Tygart claims that it is quite ironically that the UFC defends own drug-testing program and doesn’t agree to have the same or just similar principles as the WADA has.
Major League Baseball did a great mistake, claiming that steroids represent a huge problem in this sport. Thus, it was hurt positive public perception about baseball. As for the National Football League, it was created perception that their drug-testing program has been very effective.
A question appears: Does Dana White have capacity to display that there is no steroid problem in the UFC?

Some police officers that used steroids were caught with the help of a steroid dealer

Robert Kusmack, a former officer of Paw Paw Police Department, was caught possessing Fluoxymesterone (Halotestin) due to a Michigan steroid investigation. The targets of the investigation were officials of law enforcement and an owner of a gym. As a result, this police officer received probation of one year and was sentenced to pay certain fine. So, this police official was fired in 2010.
Steroid investigations are led generally in the following way: consumers of steroids are used to steroid dealers. But sometimes authorities apply another method to lead investigations.
United States Mail Inspection Service had discovered a package that contained 50 vials of HGH and was addressed to Tom Radke, a distributor of steroids. The West Michigan Enforcement Team (WMET) and the Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team (KVET) started the investigation that resulted in detection of the steroid dealer.
But the authorities decided not to prosecute the dealer but to use him as an informant. It was made a decision to catch police officials who use steroids with the help of the steroid dealer. An owner of a local gym was implicated in this process as well.
Tom Radke acted as an undercover informant in this situation. He sold Fluoxymesterone to Aaron DiPrima that was the owner of a local gym. The gym owner supplied the police official Robert Kusmack with this medicine. Both the gym owner and the police officer were arrested.
The gym owner Aaron DiPrima pleaded guilty in possession of an analogue. He was sentenced to one-year probation. He was also sentenced to 60 hours of community service. So, the steroid dealer wasn’t sentenced to jail. Three steroid users lost their jobs.

The admitting was made by the the amateur cyclist in own book that will be soon probably published. The book is entitled following: “The Doper Next Door: My Strange and Scandalous Year on Performance-Enhancing Drugs” .
this book presents personal experiences of many individuals who used performance-enhancing drugs.
So, Andrew Tilin applied the steroid testosterone for hormone replacement therapy. It is quite clear. In fact, it is not yet clear whether this cyclist has noticed about personal experience connected with other medicines that increase performance.
Andrew Tilin tries to understand and describe in his book why persons dope. He notices the motivations of different persons. Do these drugs help really? These medications are quite controversial; the explanations linked with these drugs are controversial as well. Since numerous consumers don’t like saying about their intake, certain answers on questions about doping remain unopened.
Andrew Tilin has been significantly changed due to administration of the steroid testosterone. He has become much more powerful but more aggressive. This person had to worry about his health and about the ways to lie, being an amateur cyclist. Thus, Tilin became to be involved in the doping subculture.
Writing his book, this amateur cyclist wanted to explain that steroids are dangerous and lead to many side results. Numerous sportspeople that have used banned drugs criticize the writer. Corruption of sports can’t be stopped, according to numerous specialists

Sportspeople are always looking for any ways to enhance their performance. Nobody may doubt about it. That’s why a lot of sportspeople administrate anabolic steroids or/and other preparations which have performance-enhancing effects. But there is another way too. Mixed martial artists apply even plastic surgery for this purpose.
It is known that mixed martial artists suffer from facial lacerations. This is the nature of this sport. After mixed martial artists have experienced a cut, they become more vulnerable to future cuts. The scar tissue can develop; wounds are sutured in certain cases improperly. It may happen that physicians suture just the superficial layer of the skin. This condition results in improper healing of underlying tissue.
An interesting article about Frank Stile, a plastic surgeon was published by the writer Jake Rossen. This specialist makes operations for mix martial artists. Frank Stile removes the scar tissue and replaces it with tissue from donated corpses. Such procedures are often used for cosmetic needs. Frank Stile is considered to be the first surgeon who has used this procedure for for enhancement of performance in mixed martial artists.
It is also important to note that prominent facial bones in the nose, brow and cheek can make the fighters predisposed to cuts. But it can be avoided as well. Surgeons may remove the sharp edges. It can help to prevent possible cuts.
Since inclinations to lacerations disturb fighters to achieve better results, several specialists claim that it is possible to create a super-fighter due to plastic operation. Thus, these fighters will have significant competitive advantages.
Earlier experts thought about this possibility as well. It can display the short story written by the science fiction author Richard Matheson. The story was written in 1956. Richard Matheson described a future. It was written that people watched how large robot athletes fought, trying to destroy one another’s CPUs.
When Richard Matheson was writing the story, he didn’t suppose that it would be provocative. Many persons wanted to see other sportspersons in reality. They wanted the fighter to be other than human. That’s why a lot of fans invested large sums of money, hoping to reach the goal.
It is possible to suppose that cosmetic operation will soon reach the level of the method of steroid use and intake of other performance-enhancing medicines.
Undoubtedly, many ethical questions appear in this situation. But some experts claim that it is too late to discuss these questions. Human performance is already closely linked with technological progress. The corruption of sports has started numerous years ago and it can’t be stopped, according to opinions of numerous specialists.
Anti-doping agencies have displayed that they are not able to fight against steroids and other prohibited preparations effectively. Will anybody have ability to keep fighters from surgeries?
