The “godfather of steroids in baseball” experiences nightmares linked with steroids

The former professional baseball player Jose Canseco has noted that he has nightmares about steroids. He has confirmed that he has started to experience nightmares from the time of writing his book “Juiced: Wild Times, Rampant Roids, Smash Hits and How Baseball Got Big”. This book described application of steroids in the MLB. The author has noted on his Twitter account that nightmares related to steroids hunt him since he wrote the book. Moreover, he continues to experience them till nowadays. Jose Canseco compares them with a demon who never sleeps.
Jose Canseco has called himself the “godfather of steroids in baseball”. The former professional baseball player noticed in his book about application of steroids by several MLB players quite openly. This book has become a bestseller. Jose Canseco has mentioned names of the players who have applied anabolic steroids. He stated that he had been pushed out of professional baseball due to his book.
Jose Canseco named such sportspeople, as Rafael Palmeiro, Ivan Rodriquez, Jason Giambi and Juan Gonzalez, claiming that they had applied steroids. He also mentioned names of Alex Rodriquez and Roger Clemens but he didn’t claim that he had known about usage of steroids by these sportspersons directly.
The most prominent name that has been reported by Jose Canseco in his work is the name of the former professional baseball player Mark McGwire that hit 70 homeruns. Jose Canseco noted that McGwire had used Deca Durabolin and Winstrol, when they played with the Oakland A’s.
Canseco noted that he had injected Mark McGwire with steroids many times in the bathrooms and in other places. He noticed that he injected McGwire before their trainings or after them.
At the beginning no one was inclined to believe that these affirmations were true. Mark McGwire denied administration of steroids. But later the accusations were proven. Finally Mark McGwire acknowledged that he had taken steroids and HGH. He admitted that Jose Canseco had written the truth.
McGwire acknowledged that he had used banned substances and he had apologized about this aspect. He noticed that he was using them during the 90s. Later McGwire has received possibility to play baseball professionally again. He was engaged as a St. Louis Cardinals’ hitting instructor.
When it comes to Jose Canseco, he desires to receive the 2nd chance and to come back to the MLB. The “Tigres de Quintana Roo” have agreed to give the second chance. Canseco hopes that this is his step in direction to the MLB.
